~ WW1 Early Issue 1913 Pattern P14 Rifle Remington Bayonet ~
These bayonets were made under contract by Remington Arms for the British during the First World War. They were designed to be used with the P13 and P14 rifles as well as the US Model of 1917.
The blade is marked with the Remington logo on the ricasso under the fabrication date “6.16.1913”. The other side is stamped with a pair of British inspection stamps and a broad arrow.
It is complete with its original leather scabbard.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade has a length of 16.7 inches (42.4 cm), the bayonet has an overall length of 21.6 inches (55 cm), 22.9 inches (58 cm) when sheathed. It weighs 740 g.
~ Condition ~
The blade is in good order free of rust but has some minor surface pitting on the tip. The grips are complete and undamaged. The pommel has developed some pitting due to the age of the metal.
The surface layer of the leather scabbard is has some minor scratching and minor surface wear, but its overall condition is good.
