~ WW2 German Nazi Mauser K98 Rifle Bayonet, Scabbard And Frog ~
This is a very well preserved Mauser K98 bayonet with scabbard and frog.
The blade is stamped on one side with the serial number ‘7583 d’ and on the other side with the manufacturer’s code and date ’44 crs’ (made in 1944 by Paul Weyersberg & Co., Waffenfabrik, Solingen, Germany).
The Waffen code ‘AaA619’ is stamped on the pommel.
The scabbard is also stamped with the serial number ‘S/176 G’ on one side and with another serial on the other side from which only numbers 9 and 5 are still visible.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade length is 10 inches (25.5 cm) and the overall length of the bayonet in its scabbard is 16 inches (40.6 cm), including the frog.
It weighs 620 grams.
~ Condition ~
The blade is excellent, free of damage or rust, preserving most of its blue.
The grips are complete and damage free.
The safety catch works as intended.
The scabbard is also very good with some paint wear and one small dent.
