~ WW2 German Nazi Second Pattern Luftwaffe Dagger By Alcoso ~
A Model 1937 Luftwaffe Dagger with suspension belt.
The pommel and cross guard is of a silvered metal in the form of the flighted German eagle and swastika. The grip is of brown coloured celluloid with copper twisted wire detail. The silver bullion portepee is present.
The scabbard is made of silvered iron with two lanyard rings. The surface is decorated with a "dot" pattern with oak leaf detailing on the lanyard ring mounts which match the pommel.
The suspension strap is original and in the appropriate pattern for the knife. Two silvered stripes against a dark grey/blue background with oak leaf buckles. The hook is stamped ‘DRGM’
The blade bears the manufacturer’s mark ‘Alcoso’, its trade mark and ‘solingen’.
~ Condition ~
This dagger is in very good vintage condition.
The blade is clean and sharp with some age darkening.
The pommel and cross guard have retained their silvered finish with minimal wear.
There is no damage to the grip.
The scabbard is in fair condition with some loss of it finish, one small dent and two stains of white paint.
The strap is original with some amount of wear.

The dagger in its scabbard measures 17 inches (43 cm).
The blade measures 10.25 inches (26 cm) and the overall length of the dagger is 15.55 inches (39.5 cm).
The set weighs 440g.
