~ WW2 German Red Cross DRK (German Red Cross) Dagger and Scabbard ~
Tbe dagger is of steel construction, the blade with deep, wide fullers and sawback forte edge.
The dagger is marked to the ricasso 'Ges Geschützt'.
It is decorated with DRK national eagle with down-swept wings, a highly embossed swastika to it?s breas, and a traditional cross in it?s talons.
The obverse grip features a repeating, diamond grooved pattern and the reverse grip is plain.
The dagger comes with it?s original, black painted, magnetic sheet metal scabbard and nickel plated top and tip fittings.

The dagger is 15.75 inches (40cm) with the blade measuring 9.75 inches (24.5cm).
It weights 775 grams.
~ Condition ~
The condition of the dagger is very good with only minor age wear. The blade is nice and shiny with a few tiny blackened spots. The scabbard body has some scratches.

~ DRK ~
The DRK, Deutsches Rotes Kreuz, (German Red Cross), was a voluntary, civil assistance, organization that was originally instituted in 1864, (in Prussia and some other Germanic States), by Doctor Aaron Silvermen of the renown Charité hospital in Berlin, and was officially acknowledged by the Geneva Convention on July 27TH 1929. The DRK?s main mandates were in medical, nursing and first aid assistance as well as primary charitable and social welfare services for the public.
