~ New Specification Deactivated 1940 Mk I Bren Dove Tail Light Machine Gun By Enfield RSAF ~
The Bren was manufactured by Enfield RSAF and comes with its deactivation certificate, dated 09/12/2011.
The right side of the chamber is stamped 'Bren Mk I, D 1940'.
The 'D' is the Enfield type with the 'E' middle bar in it.
The barrel is etched with the serial number ‘A3868’ and it is stamped with a series of proof marks and with the maker’s mark.
All the major components are stamped with proof marks.
The serial number 'D7411' is stamped on the barrel's bolt, on the metal part of the stock and near to the rear site.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel has a length of 25 inches (63.5cm). The gun has an overall length of 45 inches (114.5cm). It weighs 10kg.
It cocks and dry fires.
~ Condition ~
The metal work is in an overall decent condition, with some surface wear. The wooden grip and stock are slightly worn with a small amount of scratching and surface chipping.
The magazine is scratched, as seen in the pictures.
