~ A WWI Henry Wilkinson Produced Artillery Officers Sword ~
The sword is decorated, and has the following dedication stamped onto the blade:
"Lieut. J.H.Moriarty R.G. A
Fought in France. Wounded 1914
Killed October 12th 1915"
The other side contains the makers stamp. The edge of the sword has the stamp "43876". The sword can be made available with copies of the history papers, which contains information on Lieutenant J.H. (Jack) Moriarty, Royal Siege Artillery, who was the only son of the Reverend James Henry Moriarty (Vicar of Dorney 1914-1927).
~ Dimensions ~
The blade has a length of 35.5 inches (90.25cm), with the sword having a overall length of 41.5 inches (105.5cm).
~ Condition ~
The sword is in a good condition. The blade is in a fairly good condition, with only some minor wear. The stamps and patterns have not faded and remain in an excellent condition. The scabbard has patches of rust.
