The M9 bayonet is current issue with the U.S. Army and Marines, and is the longest serving bayonet mark in U.S. history. It features a Bowie style blade with a saw back and wire cutting facility, and the blade is stamped ‘M9 LAN-CAY. USA. The pommel also carries ‘LAN-CAY’ stamped into the butt end. The knife is a solid and well-built item. The scabbard is moulded plastic and webbing with the rear marked ‘LAN-CAY’. The tip is metal with a stud for the wire cutter and has a screwdriver facility. This is an issue knife and not a commercial version, and is in virtually mint condition. See ‘American Gladius’ by ‘Mack. A. Pattarozzi’ published by ‘Schiffer’ in 2009. The price includes U.K. delivery. ED 2534.
