This is an excellent BSA Martini Action .310 Obsolete Calibre Cadet Rifle With Australian Military markings. These British made rifles were used as training rifles and fire the now UK obsolete calibre .310 Cadet (310 Greener) round which was introduced by Greener in 1900. It is complete with sling swivels fitted with webbing sling, block & blade foresight & adjustable graduated rear sight. The 24 ½” steel barrel's bore is near mint, clean & bright with typical light rifling and it has a crisp martini action (40 ¼” overall length). It has all original wood furniture which has knocks bumps and bruises to be expected and all original metal work & steel butt plate. The left side plate is crisply stamped 'Made By The Birmingham Small Arms Co Ltd' & with the BSA piled arms trademark. The right side is crisply stamped 'Commonwealth Of Australia’ & number '62049’ NSW (New South Wales) and numbers ’25.177’. The barrel has matching number ‘62049’. The top of the breech is stamped with Australian Kangaroo mark. The barrel is stamped with calibre detail ‘310’ and ’12-120’. The stock is crisply impressed ‘CMF’ & ‘NSW’ to the New South Wales Citizen Military Force (Australia’s Home Guard) number ’25.177’ and dated ‘11/11’ (November 1911). The price includes UK delivery.
