This is a rare WW1 German Machine gunners bayonet. The blade is marked ‘K.S’ & ‘G within a lightbulb shape’. The spine has an Imperial inspection mark. The cross guard is numbered 4082. The fullered blade is 14 ½” long. The wrap around wood grip is secured by 2 screw bolts. The underside of the grip has 9 grooves cut into it. The scabbard is steel & although it has lost most of its finish & has a couple of dents it is in very good condition. The throat has matching number ‘4082’. The frog is the standard German leather example in good condition. A very rare bayonet, one of the scarcest & most desirable of WW1 German Bayonets. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 18799
