The EM-GE Zenit was manufactured during a very short period by ‘Moritz and Gerstenberger’ from around 1937-1939 in Zella Mehlis, Germany (the same town where ‘Tell airguns’ were made). The single shot air pistol has an over-lever cocking mechanism that pushes the piston back towards the rear of the pistol. When cocked open, the barrel is automatically tilted towards downwards revealing the breach. The rear of the cocking lever also forms the fixed rear sight. The cylinder and cocking arm showing signs of age related wear. The top of the lever is stamped ‘Zenit Em-Ge-Zella-Mehlis (Thur)’. On the cocking aid it is stamped ‘Patent- Germany’ within a ship. The foresight is adjustable in both elevation and windage. The barrel is made from a brass insert and was only available in .177 calibre. The stock is made from walnut with a lovely medallion of the companys emblem on each side. These pistols are very rare and a real collectors piece. Price includes UK delivery.
