**VERY RARE**MINT BORE**Colt USA ‘Jim Fisk’ House Model 1871 Patent Brass Frame .41 Rim Fire Obsolete Calibre 5 Shot Single Action Revolver With Sheathed Trigger. Sn 18524:1 - 18524:1

The Colt House Revolver was one of the first metallic cartridge rear-loading revolvers to be produced by the Colt's Patent Fire Arms Manufacturing Company, back in 1871. The House Model is also known among collectors as the Jim Fisk model or the Jim Fisk pistol, since it attained the infamy of being the gun used in the murder of James Fisk in January 1872 (James Fisk Jr. known variously as "Big Jim", "Diamond Jim", and "Jubilee Jim" – was an American stockbroker and corporate executive who has been referred to as one of the "robber barons" of the Gilded Age. Though Fisk was admired by the working class of New York and the Erie Railroad, he achieved much ill-fame for his role in Black Friday in 1869, where he and his partner Jay Gould befriended the unsuspecting President Ulysses S. Grant in an attempt to use the President's good name in a scheme to corner the gold market in New York City. Several years later Fisk was murdered by a disgruntled business associate). This is an original very rare to find example of Colt’s ‘Jim Fisk’ House revolver in 41 Rim Fire obsolete calibre. The pistol’s brass frame is clean. The top of the cylinder frame has Colt’s 1871 patent and the frame has ’41 cal’ calibre detail. The butt of the grip frame is numbered 8094. The 2 ½” round steel barrel, 5 shot cylinder, cylinder spigot and hammer retain their original blue finish. The bore is near mint, clean & bright with crisp rifling. It has a blade fore sight, grooved frame rear sight & sheathed trigger. The pistol’s American Rosewood grips are undamaged. The single action only firing action works crisply. The price includes UK delivery. NB As an antique obsolete calibre revolver no licence is required to own this pistol in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display. Sn 18524:1
