~ 1740s British Dragoon Flintlock Pistol ~
The lockplate has been heavily polished (conservation or use purposes?) and re-stamped at an earlier date with “TOWER” and “GR” beneath the crown. However these stamps seem to be done later and for the sake of historical accuracy (as the polishing would’ve destroyed the original ones).
The barrel is marked with a pair of Georgian proof marks.
The wooden stock ends with a heavy brass finial and is also fitted with a brass trigger guard.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel is 11 ¾ inches (30cm) long and the overall length of the piece is 19 inches (48.2 cm).
It weighs 1.16 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The woodwork remains in good condition.
The metalwork has been restored and it has developed a nice patina.
The bore has some amount of usage, minimal internal surface rust and pitting.
~ Postage ~
UK postage is £18, or it can be picked up from our shop.
