The brass barrel is round with an octagonal chamber area. It is stamped on the top with 'L-H 1156 London' and two proof marks.
The metal lock plate is stamped with the maker's name 'Bass', one of the Leading London gunsmiths from that period.
The pistol has brass fittings.
The ram rod is a later replacement.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel length is 20 cm (7.9 inches) and the overall length of the pistol is 34 cm (13.4 inches).
It weighs 780 grams.
~ Condition ~
A well presented example.
The brass fittings are in very good condition with minor blemishes.
The stock has a few cracks by the forward part of the barrel, with a few small chips too in that area on the right side.
The steel lock is fine, minor surface corrosion which will wipe off easily.
The escutcheon plate is slightly deformed.
It half cocks, cocks and release with a strong spring.
