This a very well preserved 1796 Pattern with a lockplate stamped Tower beneath the Crown and dated 1808.
Also the barrel bears a pair of acceptance proof marks.
It's brass trigger guard is stamped “3 D G, G10”.
The pistol comes with its steel ram rod.
It half cocks, cocks and releases with a strong spring.
The barrel alignment sign and the inspector’s mark from the barrel’s tang are clearly visible.
~ Dimensions ~
The barrel length is 9 inches (23 cm) and the overall length of the piece is 15 inches (38 cm).
It weighs 1.3 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The metalwork remains in good condition with the expected patina.
The wooden fame has some usage bruises and a small repair on the back section of the lockplate. Please see the pictures.
