~ 1827 Pattern, King George VI, Naval Sword With Belt And Bag ~
Here we have an 1827 pattern naval sword with its belt and sword bag.
The sword is the straight, single edged and singled fullered pattern with elaborate etchings and a brass lion pommel.
The blade carries the Kings Crown and is proofed by Walton Outfitters of Gosport.
The blade has ‘U.U.P.’ scratched into it above the proof mark.
The grip is made of wire-bound shagreen with a lion shaped pommel. It comes with its black leather scabbard with brass fittings and two suspension rings.
~ Dimensions ~
The sword is 36 inches (93cm) in length with a 31.5 inch (80cm) blade.
The set weighs 1.75 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The set is in good condition for its age.
There is some age and wear showing on the leather.
