On Auction : Cavalry musket, 1816-1822 model, 17.5 mm calibre, manufactured by ‘Mre Rle de St Etienne’ in 1831.Donated by France for the Belgian army.Formerly flintlock, converted to regulation percussion. Lock with clearly visible markings. Round barrel of 49.5 cm, flat at the bolt, without markings on the top, hallmarks on the bottom. Brass muzzle, trigger guard, counter-lock and butt cap. Number and date on top of the butt cap. Lovely walnut wood butt with cheek rest.Variant for the Belgian army with removal of the rod and addition of 2 swivel rings.In good working condition....Read full description
