1863 bar in wood

Bows and CrossbowsUsedAuction Item1863
On Auction : No reserve price. The rifle is in neat, used condition. The right hammer tightens neatly, the hammer spring is missing from the left lock. It closes neatly and without play, only the spring of the key (top lever) is unfortunately broken. The barrels are still nice and smooth internally with only a few specks of pitting. Furthermore, it is neat to mention that the front wood is damaged (as seen in the photos). The rifle was made by the well-known British gunsmith Westley Richards in the period 1863 - 1867 given the serial number (source: book "Westley Richards & Co - In pursuit of the best gun" by Jeremy Musson). What is unique about this rifle is that it is intended for both pinfire and centerfire cartridges! It will be shipped by registered and insured mail via PostNL....Read full description
