18th Century silex transformé percussion

On Auction : Superb large rifle, double barrels in a table, flintlock mechanism converted to percussion, made in Spain in the late 18th century (converted to percussion circa 1840/50), 15 mm calibre at the opening.It works perfectly mechanically, two well-synchronised notches (solid and slightly heavy loading) and very heavy percussion.No play on the barrel attachment.- double barrel, bluish steel, hallmarked on the thunder with control marks and brands (Eibar - Spain)- cut iron trims- the signature on the lock is illegible- lovely and solid ‘joue’ butt with walnut mount - with its wooden rod with a metal tip and its leather fastener- caps in good conditionShipped with insured value and signature required upon delivery - home delivery only (fee for large parcel of around 2 ml)The rifle is over 200 years old, in its patina, with scratches and signs of wear and ageing, small lacks, but still in very good condition, solid and in good mechanical condition....Read full description
