This is a superb 1907 bayonet with hook quillon. It is nicely stamped on the blade ricasso with a Crown over "G.R. 1907" followed by "3 13" (March 1913)and "EFD" (Enfield). The other side carries the Broad Arrow and several inspection stamps. The pommel is regimentally marked to "3 RH 695" denoting 3rd Battalion Royal Highlanders (Black Watch) Bayonet number 695. The scabbard is a No 1 MK II and is marked to the rear with "HGR 09" on one side of the seam and the 'Broad Arrow' and inspection stamps to the other side. The mouthpiece carries the number 593. The frog is a very nice 1914 pattern brown leather frog without helve carrier strap and stamped with the makers details and date. (F.G. Allen 1915 Bristol).
