19th Century Broadsword

On Auction : Offered a very nice and original German sword with corresponding sheath.Sword and scabbard are both in a very good condition.The blade is marked with the old mark “King’s Head and Knight’s Head” standing in front of the German company Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Cie ( WKC ) Solingen 1883.The sheath mouth is marked the number 91 and on the handle the number 84. The handle (length 11 cm and width 3 cm) has a nice intact wire winding with a large balance button at the end. Such buttons are often found in a rapier.No slack on blade/handle and intact leather sheath. Total weight: over 1 kilogram.This sword can be described as a very robust long and heavy combat sword, without frills and destined to do what it was made for.
