~ 19th Century Pata Cermonial Friar Pata Blade Handle ~
The bronze body is decorated with hand carved diamonds and small inserted circle with decorative rope style carved edging. At the far end is a carved scorpion, looking ready to pounce.
The front is decorated with a face. This face has his tongue sticking out, which is where the blades would be placed.

The piece has a length of 12 inches (30.5 cm), a depth of 4 inches (10.2 cm) & a height of 5.5 inches (14 cm).It weighs 1.31 Kg.
~ Condition ~
The piece is in decent order and has developed a light patina.
