~Early 20th Century South East Asian Dagger ~
Here we have something as much a work of art as it is a functional tool. A knife of South East Asian origin, possibly a bring back from China.
The knife itself is a single edged blade with one fuller to each side, the blade profile is very similar to a bowie. The knife is forged and quite crude but functional.
What really stands out about this knife is its sheath and grip, it has been wonderfully made of white metal and worked into arabesque designs, on the front side of the sheath there is a lozenge section that has been worked into the likeness of a Chinese dragon.
The grip of the knife has been made of bone or horn and the pommel cap is of more white metals with a pierced pattern.
~ Dimensions ~
The blade is 6.5 inches (16.5cm) long.
