This is an excellent quality German Officer’s percussion holster / target pistol by A. Brecht Vorm A. Burkhardt In Weimar (August Brecht, Weimar, Sachsen, 1800 - 1882, Anton Burckhardt, Weimar, circa 1850). The pistol has a 10 ½” octagonal Damascus steel barrel (16 ½” overall length). The smooth bore has just staining consistent with age. The top barrel flat is signed ‘A.Brecht Vorm A. Burkhardt In Weimar’. The barrel has gold lines inlaid at the breech. Its walnut stock is in excellent condition with fluted, flared grip and stepped steel pommel cap with scalloped edge . It has a heavy hammer, small blade fore sight & 'v' notch plate rear sight. The action plate and trigger guard with acanthus bud finial and extended tang have foliate tooled decoration. The pistol has an adjustable target trigger. The pistol’s cocking and firing actions work perfectly. The price for this quality pistol includes UK delivery.
