Create my profile now!I*XL has been one of the most well know Sheffield trademarks. The first company known for using the mark on knives was originally George Wolstenholme and Son. The company's name was shorted to George Wostenholm sometime just prior to 1820.It acquired the I*XL trade mark in 1826, so I*XL branded knives will be made post 1826. This example is unused, uncarried and not re-sharpened. This is a fine example of an I*XL. The blade length is 6 cm and the handle 8 ½ cm including the I*XL engraved brass bolster. The knife sports a lovely coloured stag grip with brass pins. The blade is engraved ‘I*XL George Wolstenholm’ to one side and ‘Sheffield England’ the other. The price includes U.K. delivery. ED 25010
