A rare single shot percussion Deringer made in Nashville Tennessee by Bitterlich & Legler. Circa 1862-1867. The makers name BITTERLICH & LEGLER NASHV. TENN engraved on the lock plate. Manufactured between 1862 and 1867 by Bitterlich & Legler, a partnership operating out of Nashville, Tennessee. 4 inch barrel. Approx .47 calibre. A shield shaped escutcheon fitted to the rear of grips and chequered lower section to grips. Nickel silver fore-end-pipe, side-plate and tear shaped butt-cap. Iron trigger guard. Action in working order. Overall length 7 inches. In worn condition showing some signs of genuine use and wear. Ref 1235. This is an obsolete antique pistol and is sold as a collectors item only.
