Whitney circa 1855-1860 with a 7.5 inch barrel. The barrel marked "E. WHITNEY. N. HAVEN". Two piece walnut grips and brass trigger guard. Good overall condition, no original finish remaining but with very little signs of use. The Whitney revolver was an early competitor of Sam Colt with around 50% of the total revolver production being purchased by the U.S, Government. Eli Whitney was truly a major arms manufacturer during the early years of firearms production in the United States of America. Overall length is approx 13 inches. Action works perfectly and is very crisp. This is an authentic American Civil War era percussion revolver. Excellent condition.
