Largest selection of genuine antique weapons for sale in UK, visit our website andrewbottomley.com Ref no 8899. A very scarce American civil war era .36 calibre 6 shot Percussion revolver Naval model made by E. Whitney circa 1855-1860 with a 7.5 inch barrel. The barrel marked "E. WHITNEY. N. HAVEN". The word "Whitneyville" is engraved across the cylinder scene and is the best example that we have seen in years. Two piece walnut grips and brass trigger guard. Good overall condition, retaining most of its original blued finish on the barrel and hardly any signs of use. The Whitney revolver was an early competitor of Sam Colt with around 50% of the total revolver production being purchased by the U.S, Government. Eli Whitney was truly a major arms manufacturer during the early years of firearms production in the United States of America. Overall length is approx 13inches. Action works perfectly and is as crisp as they come. This is an authentic American Civil War era percussion revolver. Ref 8899.

This is an antique weapon and is sold as a collectors item only. No Licence is required in the United Kingdom.
