The 32 inch single edged blade still retaining most of its original blue and gilt decoration. The gilt brass hilt with a silver wire bound grip. Complete with its original black leather scabbard with matching gilt brass mounts. The hilt retains much of its original gilt. The black leather scabbard in very good untouched condition. This sword would have been carried by an infantry officer during the period of the Napoleonic wars Circa 1790-1815. Very slight damage to the bottom of the silver wire grip. Overall length 39 inches.
