Absolute Stunner Of a type 38.
It was made at the Nagoya Arsenal during the 27th production series, serial number 49324 which dates it to approximately 1936-1937. The chrysanthemum or ‘mum’ is intact.
The cleaning rod and dust cover which are usually missing are included. Includes 5 non original but extremely difficult to acquire 6.5 mm inert rounds.
The best arisaka you will find, an absolute gem.

The bayonet has a 16" single edged blade, generally fine with very old blood stains along the edge of the blade. It hasnt been parkerised which is correct for the date. It has a central fuller. The ricasso has "S.A. 1906" over the 'Flaming Grenade‘. On the reverse of the ricasso is "US 102867". It has a straight cross guard in blued steel which has a scabbard locking catch operated by a sprung thumb catch, this operates smoothly as it should. It has a blued steel pommel with a sprung catch inside the bezel which operates when the bayonet release catch is pressed. It has ribbed wood grips worn smooth with use, which are secured with one screw rivet. The early post 1910 type scabbard is khaki canvas over a wooden scabbard. It has a steel throat and metal catches to secure the bayonet. The canvas scabbard also incorporates a leather tip with a maker mark stamped onto it.
