An attractive German 6 shot 9mm brass framed Lefaucheux type double action pin fire revolver, by B. Ebbeke, Herzberg, c 1865, octagonal barrel 4¾”, with simple brass line inlay at the breech, and also on the cylinder, which bears “EB” maker’s stamp, the brass frame and trigger guard are engraved with scrolls and vines and at the top of the grip strap “B. EBBEKE, HERZBERG”, with ejector rod on the right, bag shaped antique ivory grips, and lanyard ring. The brass frame has deep cut foliate tooled decoration. The pistol’s rifled bore is clean. It has a triangular block fore sight and notched hammer rear sight. The pistol is side gate loading and is fully functioning in both single & double action.
