Create my profile now!This is a fine condition, original 1917 dated Imperial German Pattern 1898/05 Butchers Bayonet and scabbard for the Gew. 98 Mauser Rifle. The ricasso is stamped with the J A Henckels KG (Zwillingswerk), Solingen trademark and 'Act. Ges. Vorm' together with retailer name 'Frister & Rossman Berlin'. The back of the blade is stamped 'W 17' (1917) with the Imperial Crown. The crossguard is stamped '3083'. The blade is clean & the grips are original and un-damaged. The steel scabbard is also original and in good order with just a couple of minor dents to be expected. The heavy duty leather frog has all rivets and stitching intact.
