WW2 Era, Japanese Arisaka Bayonet 1897-1950 (Type 30) & Metal Scabbard With Unusual American Style Integral Riveted Webbing Frog. Sn 9878

An original Japanese Arisaka Bayonet 1897-1950 (Type 30) with slab wood grips and metal scabbard. It has a hooked quillon, birds head steel pommel and muzzel ring. It has a single edged blade with fuller. On the Ricasso it has Japanese Arsenal marks. The metal scabbard has a contemporary white hand painted mark ' 36 1-2' and an unusual American style integral olive coloured webbing frog with retaining strap which has a press stud fastener and steel hanging bar. The frog is secured to the scabbard by a flat steel bar which passes through the scabbards belt bar and is riveted to the body of the frog. The price includes UK delivery. Sn 9878
