This is a very nice early 1907 bayonet with hook quillon and regimentally marked to ‘The Royal Irish Rifles’. The blade carries the crown over a feint ‘E.R 1907 7 ’08 (July 1908) and ‘E.F.D’ (Enfield). The other side of the blade carries the broad arrow, a couple of inspection stamps and a broad arrow over ‘E.F.D A5’. The grips are wooden held by two screw bolts and the pommel carries ‘R.I.R’ (Royal Irish Rifles) and ‘R540’.The scabbard is the standard ‘No1 MKII’ with black leather body, steel mounts and tear drop frog stud. This is a nice hook quillon bayonet to a scarce regiment. The price includes U.K. delivery. 18391.
