This is an original India Arsenal Musket made in the late Victorian era for the British Army In India most likely issued to native Indian troops. The side plate is unmarked. It has all original wood stock which has the knocks bumps and bruises consistent with age and service use. It has a brass fore end block and trigger guard with extended tang. It also has a brass butt plate with extended tang and brass stock fittings . The butt plate tang has what appears to be Indian Arsenal marks. The weapon has its original ramrod, fixed rear sight, block fore sight and sling swivels. The barrel's bore has staining consistent with age and use. Total length is 51" with a 35 ¼” barrel. The firing action works perfectly. This is an antique percussion rifle and no licence is required to own it in the UK if retained as a part of a collection or display. The price includes UK delivery.
