*** This Firearm is deactivated to one of the pre- 2nd May 2017, UK specifications. As such it can only be sold and exported in its present state to customers in NON- EU countries including the Isle of Man and Channel Islands. Customers based in the UK & other EU countries can purchase on our lay-away scheme. The weapon will then be brought up to the EU specification and the relevant certificate obtained prior to the transfer of ownership and delivery. This is a very good VZ 24 deactivated to UK specification in 2012. In its present condition the rifle cocks & dry fires. Please note, after the re-proof and deactivation process to the latest UK / EU specification the weapon’s bolt will move but the firing mechanism will be internally disconnected so it will not dry fire & it will not be capable of stripping. The price reflects the Deactivation status of this weapon. **** The VZ 24 rifle is a bolt-action carbine designed and produced in Czechoslovakia from 1924 to 1942. It was developed from the famous Mauser Gewehr 98 / Kar 98 lines, and features a very similar bolt design. During World War II, the VZ 24 was produced for the German armed forces during its occupation. The rifle was also produced in nearby Slovakia, a German ally and puppet state during the war. Our example has all original woodwork and metal and is fitted with forward and rear sling swivels. It has a steel butt plate, bayonet bar, adjustable rear sight, block and blade fore sight. The breech is stamped VZ24 & Brno together with numbers (illustrated). Price for this excellent WW2 Era weapon includes deactivation certificate & UK delivery. Sn 15799:6
