1980's B.S.A. Lightning / Super Sport .22 Calibre Break Action Carbine Air Rifle With Volumetric Sound Moderator & Webley 4x32 Telescopic Sight. Sn 5969 - 5969

The carbine size BSA Super Sport was first introduced in 1986 and was similar in construction to the BSA Lightning. This rifle is serial number ‘DS 76026’ which indicates that it is most likely a Super Sport. The wood stock with BSA piled arms rubber recoil pad, and metal work have just light scuffs to be expected with age and use. The top of the barrel is crisply stamped with 'B.S.A. Guns England, .22 Cal' and with the B.S.A piled arms logo. It is break action and fitted with BSA’s Volumetric sound moderator which also acts as break assist and Webley 4x32 Telescopic sight. The optics of the sight are excellent. It measures 36 1/2" overall with a 13 3/4" barrel. The barrel has a clean bore with crisp rifling and the loading and firing action works perfectly.
