An early walnut stocked piece, similar too but probably pre-dating the 1856 pattern 2 band Enfield with a blank arsenal copy disc inset into the butt. All metal work is of steel.

The topside of the barrel is stamped 435 M, LN 17 / 69 M. P. and M. S. R.

Any help identifying its precise nature is greatly appreciated.

~ Dimensions ~

The musket has an overall length of 98cm (39 inches) with a 60cm (23.5 inch) barrel. The piece weighs 2.8Kg.

~ Condition ~

The stock is in great order, apart from what to appears to a natural burr chips on the upper right butt and a long crack but stable crack on the left side of the butt.

It half cocks, cocks and releases with a strong spring.
