This is an excellent Victorian era double barrel percussion shotgun. It has 28” Damascus steel barrels and measures 46” overall. The 15 Bore barrels set side by side have a central flat top barrel rib. The smooth bores have just light staining consistent with age. It has its original undamaged walnut stock with chequered panel fore stock & wrist. The underside of the stock has a void German silver escutcheon. Its action, steel butt plate tang, blued trigger guard with extended tang &pineapple finial & blued hammers have foliate tooled decoration. The shotgun is fitted with bead foresight and has a grooved frame rear sight. The gun has its original ebonised wood ramrod with brass end cap. Surprisingly there are no visible manufacturer’s names on this piece. The weapon cocks & dry fires as crisply. The price includes UK delivery. NB.
