~ Circa 1730 Spanish Ships Blunderbuss ~
Here we have an incredible item, a Spanish shipwreck find that according to the previous owner was housed in the Isles of Wight.
The blunderbuss is in incredible condition for a shipwreck find and among one of the best i've ever seen and is of exactly the style found in the early 1700's in continental navies.
Firearms like this were commonly used in warfare and trade to ensure boarders and pirates couldn't board the ships and were far more useful than cannon for this purpose.
This delicate and incredible piece is essentially a one of a kind item and a wonderful piece for any collection.
The blunderbuss has a presentation stand.
