Description

~ Circa 1790’s Dragoon Pistol By Egg ~

Here we have a delightful piece, a dragoons pistol from the last quarter of the 18th century and almost definitely used by the British against Napoleon's forces in the Peninsular war and the 100 days, known as the Napoleonic wars.

The pistol itself was made by the famous gunsmith Durs Egg and bears his marks both on the lock plate and the barrel alongside proof marks.

The pistol follows the standard form for a cavalry pistol of the late 18th century but with brilliant detail and quality one expects from Durs Egg.

~ Dimensions ~
