The traditional Welsh weapon is comprised of a cudgel within a wooden, club shaped scabbard.
The sword has a single fuller to both sides of the wide blade running across 80% of its length. It is fitted with a turned wooden pommel with a leather hanging strap. The scabbard is formed from a branch and is quite knobbly.
~ Condition ~
The blade has several nicks to its edge, it is clean. The scabbard has cracks to both ends along the join and there is loss to the bark.
~ Dimensions ~
The piece is 103 cm (40.5 inches) in total length. The sword has a 71 cm (28 inches) blade, it is 5 cm (2.5 inches) wide.
