~ An all steel circa 1914 German Ersatz Bayonet with scabbard ~
Both the bayonet and the scabbard are made of steel.
The German 98/05, the so called "Butcher Blade", bayonet was the most common bayonet used by the German army in WWI, it was called the "Butcher Blade" by the Allies due to it's distinctive shape.
~ Dimensions ~
The bayonet length is 48 cm (18.9 inches) and the blade length is 36 cm (14.1 inches).
The holster length is 39.5 cm (15.5 inches).
The overall length of the bayonet and scabbard is 51.5 cm (20.3 inches).
The weight is 885 grams.
~ Condition ~
The blade is in good used condition with no nicks.
The rest of the metalwork of the bayonet and scabbard is rusted to an extent.
