News Dealer & Industry News
A Colt 'Agent' light weight .38 Special 'Back Up' revolver with Presentation rubber grips. Colt made four snub-nose .38 Special revolvers, they are the Detective Special, the Cobra, the Agent, and the Commando Special. The Detective Special had a steel frame. The Cobra was the same gun with an alloy frame. The Agent had the alloy frame and a slightly smaller grip size. The Commando Special had the small grip on a steel frame. The Agent was introduced in 1955. In 1972 it was redesigned to have a shrouded ejector rod. The Colt has a single and double action trigger action, both work perfectly. It has black 'Presentation' rubber grips which are in great condition. It has a blade foresight. The cylinder is opened by a thumb pull on the left side of the frame. The cylinder opens and closes as it should. It has 6 x dummy round heads in the chambers, (see the first photograph). On the left side of the barrel it is stamped with "Agent .38 Special CTG". On the left side of the frame near to the grips it has the Colt 'Horse' trademark. The right side of the frame is blank. The weapon shows slight signs of carry wear on the edges as can be seen in the photographs. The price for this authentic back up 'Agent' revolver with Presentation rubber grips includes the de-activation certificate and UK postage. Sn 13871:4
