An Enfield made Bren MKIII chambered in .303. The Mark III version was introduced in 1944 seeing action in the latter stages of the was. It was also used post war by the British in Korea, Malaya and Cyprus to name a few were it proved very effective and was popular with troops. Many were converted to the then new 7.62mm ammunition and saw service in Northern Ireland, the Falklands and the Gulf War. The MKIII is often associated with Airborne troops but was issued widely among ground forces. This example has all matching numbers including barrel and is dated 1955 with its original finish. The serial number UE 55 A2894 is believed to be from a batch ordered for the RAF and, to be among the final Enfield builds of MK3s. It is also rumoured that they were at some stage sold to the Irish military?
This particular one pictured has now sold but we have others still in stock and available. DEACTIVATED to current EU 2018/337 Specification, with moving parts but non dry-firing, complete with EU/UK Certificate.
