DEACTIVATED INERT. This is an original brass loading clip for the Breda model 1938 7.35mm heavy machine gun used by the Italians in WW2. the brass clip consists of a horseshoe holder with a bras pusher to load the rounds in the gun. The rounds are held in at the front by 4 bent brass tabs as part of the clip. The clip contains 20 7.35 mm Italian Carcano rimless rounds with the headstamp A A C – 39 (1939 date). This indicates that they were made in 1939 by the Pirotecnico di Capua and the A.A. stamp is that of the Chief Government Inspector. Included is a brass stripper clip for the 7.35mm Carcano Model 38 which used the same round of ammunition.
