Create my profile now!DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a Russian unfired 1904 dated 37mm (37 x 94R) Pom Pom base fused HE (High Explosive) round. The gun was introduced as the QF 1 Pounder Maxim Pom Pom in the late 1880s by Maxim Gun Company, and used by many nations including the Russian navy. The brass cartridge cases have a copper percussion cap and are both dated 1904. The cartridges are headstamped with various Russian characters and 1904 straddling a naval anchor. The base fused steel projectile has a brass driving band and a brass centering band above it. The projectiles have Russian characters stamped round the bottom of the projectile. The projectile has a base fuse with Russian characters stamped round it. No licence is required to possess this round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display.
