DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a scarce WW1 1917 dated French 37mm (37 x 94R) Pom Pom incendiary) round. The brass cartridge case is headstamped 37-85 9.17 (September 1917 date) 183 PDPs (Parc ‘dArtillery de Paris) flaming grenade inspection mark. The steel projectile has two copper driving bands and is fitted with a brass nose fuse. The projectile has 3 holes in the top near to the nose fuse to let the incendiary flames out. The brass nose fuse is stamped 428 as is the top of the projectile under the nose fuse. Although the projectile is unfired it has pitting to the steel body. No licence is required to possess this round in the UK if retained as part of a collection or display. The price includes UK delivery. O 1583
