DEACTIVATED INERT. This is a WW2 1941 dated unfired Russian 5cm high explosive mortor bomb used in the Russian RM 38 to RM41 series of mortors. The mortors were withdrawn from service use in 1943. This mortor consists of a steel body with presses steel fins spot welded onto the rear of the body. The body is stamped with various Russian cyrillic script and 81-41(1941 date) over KT. The bakelite nose fuse is stamped MN A within a circle 72-41 (1941 date). When the weapon was captured and used by the German in WW2 it was given the designation 5 cm Granatwerfer 205/1(r).
