Produced by the American Arms manufacturer Sturm Ruger the semi-Automatic Ruger Mini-14 is a lightweight carbine which was favoured by U.S and British Law Enforcement agencies in the 1970's and 1980's. The weapons are still in production today. This example is chambered for the .223 Remington cartridges and was recently released from a Military Museum in the South of England. This weapon was deactivated to old specification in 1989 and has had a replacement certificate issued. The weapon Strips, cocks and dry Fires perfectly. The carbine measures 39" overall and has a 19" barrel with vented 'flash suppressor' at the muzzle. The left side of the frame is stamped with the Sturm Ruger Legend and address together with number '183-75145'. The top of the breech housing behind the rear sight is stamped 'Ruger Mini-14 Cal.223'. The wood stock has no damage and is all original. The metal work is all original and is complete with vented heat shield, winged foresight, aperture rear sight, steel butt plate, sling swivels, original webbing sling and removable box magazine.
