Here we have a beautiful blade on an antler grip. This blade is a short cutlass or long knife blade used as a hunting knife known as a hanger.
The blade has obviously been made for a wealthy or noble man who enjoys a hunt. This blade whilst being opulent and finely worked has also been used as this has been sharpened, has evidence of edge damage and a slight bow where it has been sharpened unevenly.
